Surf lesson in the morning. Apparently I'm a natural. Not sure if the instructor was blowing smoke up my ass or if he actually meant it. Was the first to stand up. It didn't last long as i fell off soon after. Stood up a few times. I had the pop up technique down. I found it really easy. Just go from lying on your board to standing as fast as possible. Some people didn't find it that easy. I have a surfer build the instructor said. Tall and slim with a good core strength. My balance was good. However my timing was shit. Hard to catch the wave at the right time. All the waves i missed made me paddle back out. My arms, back and neck were killing me by the end. Its not easy to keep your head up whilst paddling and looking out for waves. Had a few bad drops. One in the deep. Not the strongest swimmer. Also nearly broke my nose. Fell off my board in the surf. Turned around to find another wave carrying my board right towards my face. Manged to put my arm up and stop it. Still bloody good fun. Didn't realise how tired i was until the end. Will definitely do it again.
Went to a cafe for breakfast after. Bacon and eggs. Australian bacon is actually way better than British bacon. Its just thicker and tastier. Watched a fat women at the opposite table talking to her friend. She was going on about her diet and some surgery she was thinking of getting to suck the fat out of her. The worst part is whilst she was talking about this she was eating, what looked like, a sack of cheese. It was actually kinda funny because she looked like a sack of cheese. You are what you eat. As i thought of this i started laughing and I'm pretty sure she knew i was laughing at her.
Had my cleaning shift again. Its not bad work. The person I'm working with is annoying. Shes just rude. I don't bother talking to her. My boss gave me a cider for my hard work and i chilled out for the rest of the evening...
